Terms & conditions

These terms govern commissions placed with Auditgear Woodcraft Sdn Bhd (registration 202401052318 (1655831-D)) and your use of auditgear.pro. We have written them in plain English on purpose; if anything is unclear, ask before you sign, not after.

1. Quotations and drawings

Quotations are fixed for 30 days and itemised so you can see what each element costs. Drawings remain our property until the deposit is paid, after which you receive dimensioned copies for your records. A quotation becomes a binding commission only when you confirm the drawings in writing and pay the deposit.

2. Deposits and payment

Residential commissions: 50% deposit on confirmed drawings, balance on completion before delivery. Commercial projects above RM50,000: staged payments agreed in the contract programme. We accept bank transfer and DuitNow; we do not accept cash above RM3,000 for audit reasons.

3. Lead times

The lead time in your quotation is a genuine estimate, not a sales figure, and we hit it in the large majority of cases. Where a delay arises — usually timber supply or a site not being ready — we tell you as soon as we know, with a revised date. Delays caused by us do not incur storage charges; delays caused by an unready site may, after 14 free days of storage.

4. Natural material, natural variation

Timber varies in grain, colour and figure — that is the point of it. The piece you receive will match approved samples in species, cut and finish, but no two boards are identical and we do not accept rejection on grounds of natural variation alone. Solid wood also moves seasonally; our construction allows for this, and hairline seasonal movement is normal, not a defect.

5. Changes and cancellation

Design changes before cutting begins are free within reason. Changes after cutting are quoted before we proceed. Cancellation before cutting forfeits 20% of the deposit for design and administration work already done; cancellation after cutting forfeits the full deposit, since a bespoke half-built piece has no other buyer. 6. Delivery and installation

Our crew delivers and installs within Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya; delivery elsewhere in Malaysia is by specialist carrier at quoted cost. Risk passes on delivery; title passes on full payment. Please measure lifts, stairwells and doorways honestly when we ask — a piece that cannot physically enter the premises is a chargeable redesign, and it has happened.

7. Warranty

Every piece carries a five-year structural warranty covering frames, joinery and carcass integrity, and a twelve-month warranty on finishes, fabrics, weaving and hardware. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover fair wear and tear, misuse, outdoor exposure of indoor pieces, pet damage, alterations by others, or damage from standing water and direct prolonged sunlight. Warranty work is done at our workshop; we collect and redeliver at our cost within the Klang Valley.

8. Liability

Our total liability under any commission is limited to the price paid for that commission. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that Malaysian law does not permit to be excluded.

Text and photographs on auditgear.pro are ours. You are welcome to share links; please do not republish content commercially without asking.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and disputes fall to the courts of Malaysia. In fourteen years we have never needed a court and intend to keep that record; talk to us first.
