Rooms we have already argued over

Every project below involved at least one respectful disagreement about timber, proportion or budget — and ended with a client who got something better than they first asked for.

Full ground floor furniture commission in a Bangsar terrace house

Bangsar terrace — full ground floor

A renovated 1970s terrace needed furniture that respected the original terrazzo. We built a low-slung linen sofa, a ten-seat merbau dining table and two window benches with hidden storage. Eight weeks, one bench team.

Oak boardroom table and matching credenzas in a Putrajaya consultancy office

Putrajaya consultancy — level 12

A sixteen-seat white oak boardroom table with in-table power, plus credenzas and a full library wall. Built in sections to fit the service lift, installed over a single weekend so no client meetings were missed.

Custom nyatoh guest room furniture in a George Town boutique hotel

George Town boutique hotel — 22 rooms

Bedheads, writing desks and luggage benches in nyatoh for a heritage shophouse conversion. Crated and shipped north in three staged deliveries to match the fit-out programme.

Wall-to-wall built-in wardrobe commission in oak

Mont Kiara condo — master wardrobe

A 4.2-metre run of floor-to-ceiling oak wardrobes scribed to a wall that was 30mm out of plumb. The client never knew until we showed her the scribe line.

Solid teak family dining table commission

Shah Alam family home — heirloom table

A 2.4-metre plantation teak table commissioned for three generations of Sunday lunches. The client's grandmother approved the timber in person at the workshop.

Reception desk and lobby lounge fit-out for a serviced office

KL Sentral serviced offices — lobby

A nine-metre reception counter, lounge seating and planter benches for a serviced office operator. Delivered at night, open for business the next morning.
